The propery is set in the historical region of aude, famous for "les chateaux du pays cathar" with medieval city of carcassonne, old market towns of castelnaudary, mirepoix and revel all within easy reach. The area is great either for enjoying the many local attractions and activities such as walking, horse riding; white water rafting or just relaxing and savouring the local wines. We are situated 2 km from our local village if villepinte where you will find a few shops and a very pleasant restaurant. The canal du midi passes nearby and if flying, ryanair do great deals from stansted to carcassonne which is just 20 mins away. The larger airport of toulouse is a one hour drive.
